Cory Marleau

My name is Cory Marleau, and I am an Amazon Future Engineer and computer science major at University of Portland. I enjoy working with teams to build projects, software and games. I am currently leading a team to build a database for a school in Malawi, Africa, and I'm always curious to learn more about technology. 

While many perceive games as trivial and frivolous, I believe games have tremendous power for social change and education. One of the reasons I studied Computer Science was because of the games I played as a child. I wanted to understand how they were built, and why they were fun to me. This passion has fueled my desire to continue learning, but I also want to share my ideas with others. I feel games are a medium which makes this possible.
